The architectural style and simple color scheme of this Newport Beach home provided our landscape architects an elegant framework that leant itself to a formal but detailed design. The goal was not to compete with the architecture but to create a complimenting garden space that shared the monochromatic color scheme. This included carefully chosen highlights such as pink Camellias and the selection of an Arbutus 'Marina' that drew from the natural wood colors from the patio water feature.
